The Road Haulage Association (RHA) met with newly appointed Roads Minister Lillian Greenwood MP in Birmingham, alongside key regional leaders, including West Midlands Mayor Richard Parker and Secretary of State for Justice Shabana Mahmood MP.

The meeting focused on critical issues facing the commercial vehicle sector, including the need for significant investment in road infrastructure to drive economic growth. The RHA also called for support in the upcoming Autumn Budget, cautioning against new tax burdens on the industry as a record number of hauliers face insolvency.

The discussion highlighted the vital role of the haulage, van, and coach sectors in helping the Government achieve its national objectives, and the RHA looks forward to continued collaboration with Minister Greenwood.
